Review on Skin Essence Ocular (Eye) Serum

Being a skincare and makeup junkie, I have tried a plenty of eye creams and gels in the past 15 years.  La Mer, Estee Lauder, Clinic, Shiseido, Vichy, Kiehl’s, just to name a few (can’t even remember how many I have tried, but too many for sure). The Skin Essence Ocular Serum is unlike all the other ones I’ve tried, it is pure essential oil. Yes, you heard it right. I don’t know why they called it serum, it’s a actually blend of nourishing and healing essential oils. Skin Essence Organics specializes in organic essential oils and no wonder they would make an eye serum with just oil. If the thought of applying oil under your eyes makes you cringe, then you are wrong. It did feel a bit weird on the first day or so but then I totally fell in love with it. It absorbs so quickly and does not cause any breakouts.

I really enjoyed using this product for a few reasons:

  1. It’s all natural and organics
  2. You only need 1 drop for each eye so the little bottle will last a long time
  3. Makes your skin feel so soft and smooth and feel nourished
  4. Reduces puffiness and dark circles
  5. Only cost about $20!

Here is what the product description says:

Ocular was created specifically for the delicate skin around the eye, and serves as a vital protective layer against pollution and the chemicals found in makeup.

This unique serum contains a variety of nourishing extracts that offer a complete anti-aging blend by helping to improve dark circles, reduce puffiness and smooth fine lines.

Ingredients: Rosehip Oil, Jojoba Oil, Hemp Oil, Borage Seed Oil.

Personally, I have not noticed major difference between using something super expensive like La Mer and this. I know that a lot of women think the more expensive the eye cream is, the more effective, but for me I don’t really see the correlation after trying so many over the years.   Recently years I have been choosing more natural and organic products, this is definitely one of my favorite products now. It’s only $20, but does not look or feel cheap. I love the packaging and the fact it’s certified organic.
